Therapy

“The mind is everything. What you think you become.”
— Buddha
My approach to therapy is, first and foremost, relational. That means I focus on creating a safe space and trusting relationship where clients can take risks and explore aspects of themselves that they might prefer to conceal or ignore. I draw from a variety of evidence-based theories and techniques, with an emphasis on cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, and acceptance and commitment therapies. These therapy approaches empower clients to gain awareness of and control over their automatic thinking and habit patterns. In so doing, clients become more able to accurately perceive and accept their life circumstances, and to choose their reactions and behaviors in support of their life goals.
